Students will collaborate with cyber pals to describe, illustrate, communicate , and create a monster and a map. One group will write a description of their monster using adjectives in a procedural text to explain how to draw a monster. Their cyber pal will draw the monster based on the directions and send it back. The same procedure will be used with the partnering cyber class who will draw a map using coordinates and then describe what to draw in each square. Each student will create a power point comparing the two drawings and commenting on the power of word. Finally, the students will create a story on a collaborative website (with their cyber pal)moving their monster through the map. Each student will use the story to make a movie of their monster and map and share it on the collaborative website.
